Is it too soon (mid-April) to plant white candytuft?? My son gave me Japanese Pieris (Mountain Fire) shrub for Easter. . .too soon to plant on Cape Cod??
They should be okay as long as the candy tuft has been hardened off and isn’t coming right from a greenhouse. You may just want to protect from a frost because you could get some damage on both the candy tuft and the Japanese Pieris but once temperatures are in the 40’s at night they should be fine.
