Clematis Availability

Note; When planting, mix lime with the soil from the hole (Clematis don’t like acidic soil) and add lots of compost to the hole (“Coast of Maine Lobster Compost” is great). Dig your hole so the top of the root ball and lower stems are 3 inches below ground level (Helps prevent “Clematis Wilt”). The roots like to be cool. Cover roots with other plants or ground covers. The flowers like sun. (Some varieties can tolerate partial shade).
