Time to get the Christmas tree up in the house! We carry a variety of trees in different sizes to give you choices for appearance as well as needle retention. We no longer carry balsam trees as we find that they drop their needles relatively quickly, and that’s disheartening for customers and for us. We want you to get a tree that you love the look of that will last through the holidays and even into the new year! Here are the varieties we carry:
Fraser Fir – Our most popular tree, the Fraser has a more slender pyramidal shape, that is full, but leaves room for ornaments. The needles are dark green on top, but silver on the bottom and overall the tree has a nice fragrance. Out of all the trees we carry, this has the best needle retention and can last well into January (and we’ve heard stories of even longer!). The Fraser is available in table top (2-4ft), 6-7ft, 7-8ft and 9-10ft, which are quite beautiful.
Douglas Fir – This is considered the ‘traditional’ Christmas tree, here in the Northeast. This tree has a more rounded look to it, as it stays wide and full until the very top. It has solid green, soft needles, and looks very full. It also has a strong fragrance that could be described as citrus-smelling that people find appealing. Great needle retention will keep this tree looking good through the holidays.
Concolor Fir – This unique looking tree is blue-green with long soft needles. It has a full pyramidal shape and is very fragrant. It also has great needle retention. Another benefit of this tree is that it is the least allergenic cut tree, so it is great for anyone who has allergies and has problems with cut Christmas trees.
Canaan Fir – This is a cross between a Fraser Fir and a Balsam Fir. It has the appearance of the Fraser, but the fragrance of the Balsam. It’s needle retention is better than a Balsam tree, but not as good as the Fraser.
We will always give you a fresh cut, and if you bring your tree stand in with you, we will mount it on the stand as well. Then we will wrap the tree and put it in or on your car. If you have a stand straight stand, we will drill a hole in the tree to ensure it fits on the stand.
